PROGRESS TO DATE A series of meetings of the Task Force took place during 2009 which provided all participating professional bodies with an opportunity to present their perspectives on issues relating to boundary mapping in Ireland. A colloquium on “Property Boundary Reform” was held in November 2009 which widened the debate among a selected list of invitees which confirmed the need to address these issues. The colloquium presentations and a summary of the discussion are available in pdf format below. Gabriel Brennan - Law Society e-Conveyancing Project Manager Paddy Prendergast - Irish Institution of Surveyors Gerry Healy & Colman Horgan - Engineers Ireland James Pike - Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland Summary of Colloquium on Property Boundary reform A survey of professionals involved in the property sector is being carried out (refer to survey below), to attempt to quantify the scale of the issues involved and to capture feedback on the range of issues causing concern. The results of this survey are currently being analysed and will be published on the website soon. A final report outlining the recommendations of the Inter-Professional Task Force will be prepared for ratification by each of the participating professional bodies before publication later in 2011.
